About Memory Gem

Memory Gem began with a simple yet powerful desire: to turn deeply personal moments into lasting keepsakes. What started as a way for our founder, Tainá, to honor her own journey into motherhood has since grown into something much bigger—a space where all people, parents or not, can preserve the memories that shaped them.

The spark came in November 2021, with the birth of Tainá’s first child, Clara. Motherhood was—and continues to be—a whirlwind of emotions, learning, and transformation. One of the most surprising parts of that journey was the deep connection formed through breastfeeding. More than nourishment, breast milk represented comfort, strength, and love.

But every breastfeeding story is unique. Some are joyful. Some are painful. Some never begin. Inspired by her own experience, Tainá began searching for a way to hold on to these fleeting moments—something tangible, beautiful, and meaningful.

After extensive research and experimentation, she developed her own method of preserving breast milk safely and beautifully, transforming it into one-of-a-kind jewelry. She began by gifting pieces to close friends, and their emotional responses made it clear: this was something truly special. And so, Memory Gem was born.

Inclusion has always been at the heart of what we do.
We know not every mother breastfeeds. We also know that the most meaningful memories come in many forms. That’s why we offer jewelry made from a wide range of materials: hair, pet fur, umbilical stump, baby teeth, cremation ashes, dried placenta, and more. Every story matters.

As the brand grew, Tainá invited her sister, Camilla, to join the team. An artisan by nature and witness to the early days of Memory Gem, Camilla shares the same deep commitment to honoring each story with the care it deserves.

Together, we create each piece by hand, using only high-quality materials, with a focus on craftsmanship, innovation, and heartfelt storytelling.

We’re honored to help you carry your memories with you—beautifully and forever.
